A. Attendance Regulations

    1. Students should attend classes on time, not leave until the class ends and ask for leaving when needed.

    2. Each semester the teacher should record student attendance from the day specified in the academic

        calendar.

    3. Students are not allowed to take the final exam if they ask for leave for one third or more of the

class or are absent from the class for one-fifth or more. On this occasion, their total score is 0 and

they need to take the class again.

    4. Students who are unable to attend classes within 3 days due to illness or other things should ask the

class teacher for a leave ahead of time. If they are unable to attend classes for more than 3 days,

they must go to the International Student Office for leave. For those who can't ask for leave in

advance for special reasons, the procedures for leave should be finished afterwards in time, and if

not so, the absence of over 1 week will be recorded as absence without leave.

    5. If students are late for or leave the class early for 15 minutes or more, they will get a record of

absence for the class, and if they do it within 15 minutes, 3 times will accumulate a record of absence.

    6. Students' performance scores will be deducted accordingly if they ask for leave or be absent from

the class without leave. The scores deducted for each lesson will be announced at the beginning of

        the next semester.

B. Scoring Methods

The final performance grade for most of the courses consists of three parts, 30% of the general

performance (15% of the attendance + 15% of the classroom and homework performance), 30% of

the midterm exam grade and 40% of the final exam grade. A final performance grade equal or greater

than 60 is considered passing, enabling students to earn corresponding credits. A final performance

grade equal or greater than 60 is considered passing, enabling students to earn corresponding credits.
