A. After entering the school, freshmen are required to take the class placement test organized by the College and then divided into different classes of from Class 100 to Class 402 in accordance with their test results. Students should enter the appropriate classes according to the placement list.

B. When the actual Chinese level of the student is unqualified for and even hinder the study in a specific class, he/she can apply for a class shift. The shift can be from a lower grade to an upper one as well as from an upper grade to a lower one. The students can also only change a certain course (mainly for students with different levels of listening & speaking and reading & writing).

C. When the students want to change from an upper grade to a lower one, they need to apply to the class teacher for it. After a confirmation, the class teacher will then submit the application materials to the college office and finish the procedures as required.

D. When the students want to change from a lower grade to an upper one, there are two situations.

1. For freshmen, the shift will be approved only after they take the class shift test and scores 60 or more. Time of the test will be posted on the College Agenda. Each class teacher should submit a list of students who will take the test no later than the day before it and inform the students of the time and venue.

2. For old students, the college decides whether to approve the shift by referring to their grades of the last semester. The detailed requirements are as follows: students of Class 102 or above should score no less than 90 in at least 3 courses and no less than 85 in another course and those of Class 101 or below should score no less than 90 in at least 2 courses and no less than 85 in another course. Old students cannot take the shift test.

E. The students should listen to the teacher's advice as there is only 1 chance for class shift. In the 1st week, the students can attend the classes of other grades with the permission of the class teacher, but it's not connected to the final result of the class shift.

F. After the shift list is announced, the students should obey the arrangement of the College and enter the corresponding classes.
